I spent the first part of my career working with youth in the foster care and adoptive services. Families in crisis, and youth in the Juvenile Justice system.  I moved on to working with adults facing homelessness with addiction, medical and mental health conditions. I became the clinical director of an out of custody Trauma based Alcohol and Drug program with women who were on parole. I left the program to work at Folsom women's prison to provide groups and therapy. Once that contract ended, I decided it was time to go into private practice where I could utilize all my skills that I had learned for the last 15+ years. I continued my work with people in the criminal justice world through two contracts through the Federal government and the Board of Prison, I see private pay and I accept insurances. For the last 8 years I have worked with individual who required immigration psychological/mental health assessments who were either facing deportation or were applying for their residency. I specialize in Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Addiction and Attachment. I am a Cognitive behavioral therapist, and my motto is "Change your thinking, change your life." I believe in meeting the client where they are at and if I am not the right match for you then lets find you someone who is a better match because therapy is about you not me. I have worked with depression, anxiety, bipolar, addiction, trauma, PTSD, grief, LGBTQ+. I became a therapist to make a difference.
